Clock & Watch Servicing
My basic service includes assessment of the condition of your clock, watch, or barometer, and recommendations on any repairs or servicing required. I work on clocks of all types from longcase grandfather clocks to miniature carriage clocks and pocket watches. I have the expertise to bring them back to optimal working condition, with attention to detail and a passion for preserving the intricate mechanisms.
Repairs
Typically a full service will involve the complete disassembly of the clock mechanism, followed by cleaning in an ultrasonic bath, prior to reassembly and testing. Any worn or damaged parts will be repaired or replaced.
Restoration
Very often the antique clock case, whether it is made of wood, metal, marble, or some other material, may also need cleaning and repairs.
If the clock is especially old or important, conservation techniques are applied to ensure the preservation of original elements and materials
